FAQ

Where are you based? Do you travel?

I’m based in Louisville, Kentucky. I’m willing to travel anywhere. If your wedding location is in Kenutcky or Southern Indiana, travel is included in your wedding package! For other states and destination weddings, I do offer travel packages starting at $3,500.

What camera gear do you use? Do you have dual card slots? Digital or Film?

I mainly shoot digital photos on a mirrorless professional camera (Sony A7r4). That’s very important to me because of the dual card slots— which means your photos are backed up on two SD cards instead of just one in case of some kind of crazy malfunction, so your photos are safe! I also started incorporating 35mm film into my wedding packages in 2024. Currently, I shoot my film photos with an Olympus OM-2. After the film rolls are developed and scanned, both the film and digital photos will be edited together and returned to you in an online gallery.

How long have you been a photographer? What got you started?

I’ve been carrying a camera with me pretty much everywhere I go since I was 7 (my first trip to Disney World, when I got my first point-and-shoot digital camera!) I started taking photos professionally in 2020 and I now have several weddings under my belt. I’ve always loved being behind the camera. Seeing everyone so thrilled with the photos of their special memories makes me so happy!

How does payment work?

I require a 25% non-refundable retainer at the time of booking. The rest is due a week before your wedding. My current preferred method is Venmo, but if that doesn’t work for you for whatever reason, we can arrange something else!

Do you edit the photos? Are they black and white or in color?

I go through all the photos I take, and then I select and edit the best ones for your gallery. I do include several black&white edits in there for you.

How long will it take for me to get the photos back?

Since I have begun to incorporate 35mm film into my wedding packages along with the digital photos, your completed gallery will be available to you 6-8 weeks after your wedding date. However, I do edit a sneak peek for you with some of the digitals (usually 5-10) within 3-5 business days of your wedding!

What happens if you can’t make it to our wedding?

That thought makes me so sad! But things do happen. If for some crazy reason I end up deathly ill or some other emergency happens, I have a large circle of amazingly talented photographer friends. Any of them would be perfectly capable of jumping in if it was absolutely needed. In that case, I would send them all the info for your day. They would take the photos and then send the RAW files to me so I can edit them!

Can I get the RAW unedited files or the film negatives?

Photography is my art form, and I wouldn’t want to send you unfinished art. My editing process is a big part of that art! So most likely, no.

What if the weather is bad?

Weather doesn’t always work in our favor. Luckily, there are ways to combat it! If any part of your wedding day is outside, be sure to get a tent or a backup location prepared just in case! If nothing else, a little rain makes for some fun photos! Most importantly: remember this day is about YOU. Don’t let the weather get you down! We’ll make it work.

Do you do any photo sessions other than weddings?

Yes! I also offer engagements, family photos, graduation, personal branding, etc. (And I can travel for any of those too!) Fill out an inquiry so we can chat more about what you’d like!

Can we meet before I book you?

Of course! If you are within an hour of me, we can set a time to meet up for coffee or lunch and talk about what you’d like and any questions you have. If you’re farther out, I’d love to set up a video call with you! Fill out an inquiry and let’s set something up!
